We will ride on Mount Pispisa from which you can enjoy the view from the top of the archaeological site of Segesta with its temple built in the fifth century BC. This is one of the most visited archaeological sites in the world, so famous as to make any description unnecessary. We will just quote Goethe’s words: "The site of the temple is singular; at the highest end of a broad and long valley, it stands on an isolated hill. Surrounded, however, on all sides by cliffs, it commands a very distant and extensive view of the land”.
We will return to Castellammare along a short stretch of the old narrow-gauge railway between Santa Ninfa and Palermo.
